För att din mascara ska hålla så länge som möjligt, undvik att pumpa borsten in och ut ur flaskan. På så sätt kan luft och bakterier komma in i flaskan och konsistensen förstörs snabbare och kan inte längre användas. Också ett no-go: torka av borsten på kanten. Konsistensen samlas där och torkar ut. När du drar ut staven kommer klumpar att komma på borsten och fastna på fransarna. Bättre: dra ut borsten en gång med en vridande rörelse, torka bort överflödig mascara på ett mjukt kosmetiskt papper och applicera i sicksackrörelser. Sätt sedan tillbaka borsten i flaskan med en vridande rörelse.

Jotta ripsiväri kestäisi mahdollisimman pitkään, vältä siveltimen pumppaamista pulloon ja siitä ulos. Näin ilma ja bakteerit voivat päästä pulloon, jolloin koostumus pilaantuu nopeammin eikä sitä voi enää käyttää. Mitä ei myöskään kannata tehdä: harjan pyyhkiminen pullon reunaan. Aseta harja sitten takaisin pulloon kiertävällä liikkeellä.

When you pull the wand out, lumps will get on the brush and stick to the lashes. Better: pull the brush out once with a twisting motion, wipe off any excess mascara on a soft cosmetic tissue and apply in a zigzag motion. Then put the brush back in the bottle with a twisting motion.
